A total of 71 golf courses (9 holes, 18 holes, or more) are located in Paris and Île-de-France. Most golf courses are open to the public, and one can play freely by simply calling to reserve a tee time.
On private golf courses play is restricted by invitation from a club member only. Saint-Cloud Golf 5*, Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche Golf 5*, Joyenval Golf 5*, Paris International Golf Club 5*, and Villacoublay Golf 3* of the Air Force are strictly closed.

Some private or semi-private golf courses are open on weekdays: Le Prieuré Golf 5*, Saint-Germain-en-Laye Golf 5*, Fontainebleau Golf 5*, RCF La Boulie Golf 5*, Villarceaux Golf 4*, Domont Golf 4*, Fourqueux Golf 4*, Isabella Golf 4*.

The Golf National 5* main course

The 2018 Ryder Cup hosted the Matches on “L’Albatros, » which will host the 2024 Olympic Golf competitions. Guests may play before or after the Games. On-site, there is a high-performing golf Academy, another 18-hole course « L’Aigle, » and a nine-hole course « L’Oiselet. » A newly renovated Novotel Hotel is on site (the only course with on-site lodging in the region); Olympics will occupy it exclusively during the games.
