The Médoc Golf Club Resort***** Golf, awarded by Golf Stars, is a 36-hole golf course located in the heart of a 200-hectare preserved natural area in Pian-Médoc, Gironde (33), north of Bordeaux. Its main course, Les Châteaux, is an 18-hole Par 71 stretching over 6576 meters, designed by American architect Bill Coore in 1989. It follows the tradition of Scottish links courses.
The "Châteaux course" features wide fairways bordered by gorse and broom where stray balls are best avoided. The quality of the greens, the influence of the sea winds, and the technical layout of the course offer a challenge of the highest order for experienced golfers.
The second course, "Les Vignes", is an 18-hole Par 71 measuring 6237 meters, created by Canadian architect Rod Whitman in 1991. It features long pars with strategically placed obstacles and is set amidst heathland and maritime pines. It caters to players of all levels but can be challenging depending on the pin positions.
Ranked among the top 100 golf courses in continental Europe, the Médoc Resort Golf regularly hosts major international competitions. It is part of the exclusive circle of the top 10 Golf Resorts in Europe.
